From Natalie MacLean’s Blog:
Mom says when I was about a year old, we’d go for walks each day, passing by a small toy store.
In the window was a little plastic dog on wheels. I’d point to it every time and we’d stop and look at it.
For Christmas that year, she got me the little dog, but apparently I didn’t play with it much.
But on our next walk as we were approaching the store, I started pointing at the window and looking at her, she says, puzzled and disappointed.
Apparently, I wanted that doggie in the window to stay right where he was 😉
This reminds me now of the difference between wanting and getting whether it’s a vacation, shoes or wine.
Sometimes the wanting or the anticipation is even better than the getting and having it. What do you think?
Speaking of getting what you actually want … Did you know that today is Malbec World Day?
We also celebrate Malbec on CTV. It’s the flagship red grape for the wines of Argentina, as well as the grape used in Bordeaux blends and other regions.
